Course Description

The course aims to develop an understanding of why and how people as consumers and as producers make economic choices and decisions to satisfy their wants. Students gain an understanding of how the market works and the way scarce resources are managed and allocated in the context of the New Zealand economy. Opportunities for real world learning include investigating sustainable use of resources by McDonalds and the interdependence of Auckland Airport.
