Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Lerena Glucina.

The study of English literature is compulsory in Year 11. 

11EN1 Students will:

  • Be offered a rich study of written and visual texts to enhance achievement at Year 11 MCEA
  • Develop their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills
  • Prepare for academic success in English at Level Two by aiming for Merit and Excellence
  • Develop skills in critical thinking and applying these to unfamiliar contexts


Prerequisites

11EN1

A grade of achieved for the Response to Text and essay writing assessments

An achieved grade for all other internal assessments and exams in year 10 English

OR HoF approval.
