Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Lerena Glucina.

The study of English Literature is compulsory at Level Two.  As such, your English option will be determined by your results for English in Level One.

12EN1 Students will:

  • Study a rich selection of texts taken from the canon and modern literature
  • Write in a range of styles, developing their essay writing skills and producing a portfolio of writing
  • Develop critical thinking skills through analysis, interpretation and evaluation
  • Undertake an inquiry into a studied text, drawing conclusions and synthesising information from a range of expert sources
  • Have the opportunity to achieve 22 credits in Level Two English


Prerequisites

At least 19 credits in Level 1 English of which 12 credits are from Level 1 externally assessed English standards. 

You must have passed all internal and external standards from Level 1 English with Merit or Excellence.
