Course Description

Students will: |
• Analyse and evaluate health issues, contemporary ethical issues, health practices and health promotion within New Zealand and internationally • Study topics including methamphetamine use, western and CAM health practices, international health issues such as poverty and HIV, ethical issues such as legalising cannabis, euthanasia, and current health promotion in our community |
Prerequisites
At least 15 credits in Level 2 Health (12HE1) ‘Achieved’ or better in AS91235
OR HoD approval.
If you did not take 12HE1 please see Miss Bovaird in the Student Centre or Ms Lythe in the PE office.
