13 Photography 1
Teacher in Charge: Ioana Schwalger
It is recommended that students have an entry level DSLR camera for their own use.
Two internal assessments are done during the first two terms, and are worth 4 credits each. These internals help underpin the your work for the externally assessed folio.
•The main focus for this course is the production of a three panel folio worth 14 credits. This will be sent to Wellington and assessed externally at the end of the year. All students are expected to complete this.
•To succeed at Level 3 requires independent thinking and a higher level of individual input than previous years. There are strict assessment criteria you must meet and your teacher will guide you through this. You will negotiate with your teacher what your individual programme and options will be.
•Scholarship is also available depending on your strengths and level of commitment. On the way to producing your folio you will submit work demonstrating your progress and you will be given feedback and a possible indication of your likely mark before the final assessment.
