Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Simon Allen.
Students will:
•Examine how the media represents different groups of people
•Study a specific film genre
•Learn the skills of close reading of media texts so they can respond to the products of others as well as their own
•Apply the knowledge they have gained about media conventions and technology and plan and create their own media production
Prerequisites
At least 15 credits in Level 1 MCEA English, which includes 5 credits from either AS92049
OR HoD approval
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
*12MD1* - Supplementary costs: Approx $5
A suitable laptop for editing video is recommended but not compulsory.
