13 Health Science 2

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Haana Bovaird.

Students will:
  • Analyse and evaluate health issues, contemporary ethical issues and health promotion within New Zealand and internationally.
  • Study topics include methamphetamine use, western and CAM health practices, ethical issues such as euthanasia, and current health promotion in our community.
  • Complete two internals and one external, totalling 14 credits.


Prerequisites

At least 10 credits in Level 2 Health (12HE1 or 12HE2) ‘Achieved’ or better in AS91235 (External)

If you did not take 12HE1 or 12HE2, please see Miss Bovaird in the Student Centre or Miss Abraham in the Health and PE Department.
