Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Bryn Corkery.
•Students generate and develop ideas, using drawing methods related to established Photography practice.
•They will use drawing materials, processes and techniques appropriate to photography. Students will create work toward their own individual folio which will be presented as a body of work over 2 A1 size panels.
•Students will look at ideas and methods used by well known artistic photographers.
•Students learn how to use manual camera functions to control exposure and how to use studio lighting equipment. Students will mainly use digital photography including digital file management, using scanners, printers and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom and Indesign).
The department has dslr cameras available for students to borrow but it is recommended that students have access to their own entry level DSLR camera if possible.
Prerequisites
At least 15 credits in MCEA Level 1 Painting (11PN1) or MCEA Level 1 Photography & Design (11PH1)
OR HoD approval.
