11 Dance Accelerate
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Joshua Grace.
Students will:
- Practice communication, confidence, originality, writing, creative collaboration, resilience, analytical, critical and research skills.
- Perform in choreographed theatre dance works
- Choreograph group and solo dances from given and devised themes
- Perform ethnic and social dances
- Demonstrate understanding of a selected dance genre
Up to 20 credits are available in NCEA Level 2 Dance, students will complete only one external examination.
Prerequisites
At least 14 credits in Level 1 Dance (10DNA), with at least Achieved in 91938 (Perform dance sequences) and the Term 4 MCEA exam (Dance Genre).
