This course is designed for students to improve basic Mathematical skills and covers a range of topics necessary for everyday life application. The main focus of the course content is on gaining the numeracy requirements for the NCEA Level 1 Certificate.
To gain the numeracy requirements through the unit standards, all of the unit standards need to be achieved within one year.
In addition to the unit standards, three achievement standards are covered which overlap with the unit standards. The credits for the achievement standards can be used in addition to other achievement standards to gain the numeracy requirements.

*10MT2 or 10MT3*: Achieved less than 25% in Year 10 Mathematics end of year exam
