Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr S. Allen

Students will:

• Examine how the media represents different groups of people
• Study a specific film genre
• Learn the skills of close reading of media texts so they can respond to the products of others as well as their own
• Apply the knowledge they have gained about media conventions and technology and plan and create their own media production

Prerequisites

At least 15 credits in Level 1 English, which includes 4 credits from either AS90849 or AS90850 

OR HoD Media Studies approval
