Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Ms I. Schwalger

Students should have access to their own entry level DSLR camera


Students learn how to use manual camera functions to control exposure and how to use studio lighting equipment. Students will mainly use digital photography including digital file management, using scanners, printers and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom and Indesign).
Students generate and develop ideas, using drawing methods related to established practice.
They will use drawing materials, processes and techniques appropriate to photography. Students will create work toward their own individual folio which will be presented as a body of work over 2 A1 size panels.
Students will look at ideas and methods used by well known artistic photographers.

Prerequisites

At least 16 credits in Level 1 Painting (11PN1) or Level 1 Design for Print (11PH1)
OR HoD approval
