Course Description

Computer Science Level 3

· A hands on course learning programming, networking and digital media skills
· Learn about website design and development, implement a local area network for a home and design an advance computer programme
· Start your journey towards a career as a Computer Programmer, Digital Designer, Game Developer, Network Administrator, Information Technology, Cyber Security or in a variety of other pathways

This course will be run at Unitec, Mt Albert campus on a Wednesday. Students will need to be willing to catch up on work from other lessons that they miss on the Wednesday. Please register your interest in this subject by selecting it as a back up at this stage i.e. select your six subjects and then computer science . The final details around how the course will be run will be known by the end of the term.

This course is a continuation from Level 2 MAGnet Computer Science. However, you do not need to have completed the Level 2 course to do the Level 3 course.


Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course. 

A further acknowledgement of commitment is required by both parents and the student taking this course.

A commitment to attendance is also required.
