Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Matthew Huang

This course is for those students who struggle with the more abstract concepts in Biology. One less standard is covered over the year when compared with BI1. This allows more time to be spent on the existing standards. 

Content covered in the course includes:

Animal and plant behaviour; Evidence supporting the theory of Human Evolution; The body system of blood glucose and Diabetes; a written report on a socio-scientific issue of your choice.

Prerequisites

From 12BI1: At least ‘Achieved’ in AS91157 L2 Genetics and Achieved in one other L2 Biology External Achievement Standard.

From 12BI2: At least ‘Achieved’ in AS91156 L2 Cellular Processes and Achieved in TWO other internal achievement standards.
