13 Digital Technology 1

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Braden Robins.

Digital Technology is a practical and creative course relating to many aspects of the 21st Century Industries that utilise the strengths of both the Technology, Maths and Sciences.  The digital curriculum is about teaching students how to design their own digital solutions and become creators of, not just users of, digital technologies, to prepare them for the modern world.

Students will learn to create a complex 3D videogame using Godot and its native language GDScript. Students are presented with the opportunity of refining their skills through their project development and researching specific areas of computer science that will strengthen the development of their outcome. Students will also learn how to use digital tools to create stunning 3D visual designs for their games.

This course will require students to have their own personal Laptop that will run the relevant software (tablets or chromebooks will not be sufficient). A minimum of 8GB RAM is highly recommended.

Please contact the Teacher in charge to check on the specifications.
