Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Alayna Pulham.
This is a rigorously academic course, which covers all the Level 2 External Achievement Standards: Atomic structure and bonding, Organic and Chemical Reactivity. Only one internal standard is completed in this course, oxidation and reduction. This will lead onto a university approved course if you take 13CM1 in the future.
Prerequisites
From 11SI1:
Merit or above in the Acids and Bases MCEA assessment or Term 2 Exam and
At least achieved in Mechanics MCEA and Genetics MCEA assessments
From 11SD1:
Merit or above in the Chemical Reactions MCEA assessment and
At least achieved in the Electricity and Magnetism end of topic test and the Mammals end of topic test
OR HoD approval
