Course Description

This course is designed to further extend your knowledge and understanding of physical education concepts. These include the role and importance of physical activity in our daily lives, the significance of physical activity in society and understanding biophysical principles in learning skills and improving performance.
Students will:
Study the development of specific sports skills, analysis of anatomy, biomechanics and physiology of the body, as well as investigating the significance of a sporting event on society through a range of socio-cultural factors.
Prerequisites
At least 16 credits in Level 1 Performance (11PF1 & 11PF2 & 11PFR & 11OE1) including Merit or better in AS90963 (1.2 Function of the body)
