Course Description

Prerequisites

From 10 Health - must have submitted all Health assessments and passed 3 of the 4 assessments.

OR HoD approval.

Students will:

Be introduced to concepts in understanding health education. This includes studying Hauora, influences, consequences and strategies for relationships and sexuality, strategies for managing change, and making health-enhancing decisions in drug-related situations.
Develop positive attitudes and values towards their own and others’ well-being.
Develop critical thinking skills, resilience, and a sense of personal and social responsibility.

UNIT: Relationships and Sexuality - Demonstrate understanding of influences, consequences and strategies in relationships and sexuality.
