This course is designed for students who are likely to go on to study Mathematics and/or Statistics through to Level 3 and possibly beyond. A secure knowledge of Mathematics prior to Level 1 content is essential.
The content of this course will cover a mixture of both Mathematics (including Calculus) and Statistics standards at Level 1 to enable pupils to become more familiar with the two disciplines to make a more informed decision of a suitable pathway into Level 2 and beyond.

Students must have their own calculator. A Scientific calculator is the minimum requirement but a Graphics calculator is preferred given that this will be required for Level 2 and Level 3 Mathematics or Statistics courses.
Achieved at least 40% in Year 10 (10MT1 or 10MT2) Mathematics end of year exam
OR HoD approval.
