12CM1 Course DescriptionTeacher in Charge: Alayna Pulham.
PrerequisitesStudents must have achieved at least one ‘Merit’ or above and one ‘Achieved’ or above grades in the External Achievement standards in Level 1 Chemistry papers from 11SD1.
A student coming from the 11SI1 course must have gained at least a Merit grade in the Science Achievement Standard (Acids and Bases) and a Merit in one other Science standard.
OR HoD approval
This is a rigorously academic course, which covers all the Level 2 External Achievement Standards: Atomic structure and bonding, Organic and Chemical Reactivity. Only one internal standard is completed in this course, oxidation and reduction.
