Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Sarnia Slabbert.

Demonstrate an understanding of concepts, principles and models (of physics).

Apply concepts and principles (of physics) to explain physical phenomena, systems and devices, in the following topics: 

  • mechanical systems.
  • electrical systems.
  • waves systems.
  • modern (nuclear) physics.

Please note that if you are intending to apply for Engineering, both Calculus and Physics are prerequisites for entry.


Prerequisites

At least Merit in AS91171 AND at least Achieved in AS91170, AS91172 and AS91173 in Level 2 Physics AND passed 12MN3 or above.

OR

At least Merit in AS91173 AND at least Achieved in AS91170, AS91171 and AS91172 in Level 2 Physics AND passed 12MN3 or above.
