Course Description

Students will:
• Prepare for NCEA assessment at Level 2
• Study mechanics, atomic and nuclear physics
• Carrying out a practical investigation with a non-linear mathematical relationship requiring the use of expert experimental skills

Achieved in the L1 Mechanics External, Achieved in one other External from the 11PY1 course and Achieved in 91027 Algebra External AS in 2017
A student coming from the 11SI1 course must have gained a ‘Merit’ grade in the ‘Mechanics’ External AS, an Achieved in one other Level 1 Science
External AS, and Achieved in 91027 Algebra External AS in 2017

Open to Year 12 and 13 students only

** The 13PY2 course does not meet the Physics entry requirements of the BE (Hons) Degree at the University of Auckland.
