Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Ms S. Slabbert

Students will:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of concepts, principles and models (of physics)
  • Apply concepts and principles (of physics) to explain physical phenomena, systems and devices, in the following topics: rotational motion, simple harmonic motion, electricity and magnetism, waves and nuclear physics.
  • Use physics knowledge to develop an informed response to a socio-scientific issue.

Prerequisites

At least Merit in AS91171 AND at least Achieved in AS91170, AS91172 and AS91173 in Level 2 Physics and passed 12MT1 or an equivalent algebra or calculus paper.
